My LGT2654 Husqvarna has been sitting outside behind my shop for a few years, as it got to running rough. I bought a manifold with new carb, but it still ran 'rough', but I could drive it around. I bought a new mower (same) and forgot all about my mower, behind the shop. New friend was looking at my mower behind the shop B&S 726cc 26hp, and he said to me "Hey, this thing has no compression", sure enough the flywheel spins really fast and the compression tester, 'reads: '0'.......... the crank is spinning, the valves work good, so ... "what's wrong"????

Remove a spark plug, place thumb over hole and spin crank. Do same to other plug. This is to test that there is no compression. If there isnt, place a screwdriver in plug hole untill you can feel top of cylinder and spin engine by hand to see if piston is moving. Do this to both pistons. If all this checks out good then I suspect valve gap needs to be reset. Post results please. Good luck!
