I have a ZD331 zero turn mower. Is there a way to make the steering arms operate easier?

Have you tried lubricating all wear/contact points. I did a quick search and only found an adjustment procedure at

Free Service manual. You’ll need to search via Duck/duck as it is just a pdf download.
There is a tension spring and dampener involved, maybe dry and require lubing, if not intentional. You’ll need to dig into the info if these doc’s apply.
