Engine Z245 won't start

I have a JD Z245 that won't start. I put in new battery, new plugs, new fuses and still no start. It cranks and cranks but won't kick over. It will then drain the battery from trying. Any help??

Are you getting spark? I'd guess so, but I'm not sure. One of the things I'll do first when I've got a no-go is get my squirt can of gasoline and squirt some fuel into the carb. If it sputters and starts for a bit, then dies, you've got a fuel delivery issue somewhere.

Check the air filter. My cub zt doesn't like to start if the air filter is dirty.
