I'm interested in a 42 inch mower.Any thoughts on this pulling an aluminum utility trailer around yard with a few supplies, and a lawn sweeper in the fall?Or should I just get aT2290 a designated lawn tractor.I'm concerned on the zero turns transmission not being beefed up versus the lawn tractor more apt to handle.Should I worry?School me please,I just want to get ir right.Thanks.

The Z231KW uses the entry level ZT2200 transmission and is not intended to haul much.

The T2290 uses the much better T3HD transmission and is designed to pull bigger loads.

If you still want to get a ZTR, get the Z231KH with the ZT3100 commercial transmission that will handle bigger loads.

the ZT doesn't pull any load very well. it's not designed to do that. They're kind of weird to turn with a load behind you. I have a roller that I pull with mine and it's, well, interesting--to say the least.
