having problem with neutral position with transmission.how to adjust pedal position so returns to neutral. thanks for any help jim

Needed a little more info. Can't shift while running? Can't shift with unit off? Can you shift to other gears? Remember we can't see, hear or feel what you are talking about. You need to explain in as much detail as possible, as most of the mechanics on this forum have lost all ESP reception due to the crazy winter weather.

it has hydrostatic drive.the pedal you push to go forward or push back for reverse.it wont stay in netural position with out your foot on it.normal it goes back to the neutral when you let off the pedal.what makes it go to the netural position? thanks jim

You are going to have to get under the unit, with the deck off, and see if the retainer spring and return spring are still there. If they are, then you will be looking for something binding in the foot pedal or control rod.
