Mower has had very little use, have noticed over the last few weeks that the mover hardly moves in reverse. Does this mean that the transaxle is faulty. Have checked all the linkages and have adjusted the heel / toe adjustment. Are these transaxles repairable, are replacements available.

Please post the model and serial numbers for this unit, located under the seat. I need to see which tranny you have.

With that HydroGear the most common problem is a worn belt. When was the last time it was changed and did you use an OEM belt. Should be part number 88-6280. This si m be of some help. https://www.toro.com/en/parts/partdetails/?id=34306

It was a couple of years ago and it was a genuine belt. I will try a new belt, thanks for your comment

Sometimes you can hook the back of your foot to the upper part of the "go pedal" and pull it back as far as it will go and get more reaction to the reverse motion.
