X584 slow hydraulic deck lift

I have a new JD X584 with about 30 hrs. of operation, 48" deck with mulch attachment in the deck.....does an excellent job of mulching and blowing out the side. I have only one complaint......the hydraulic system is slow to react. I can activate to raise the deck (on the go while mowing), and it doesn't raise until I have traveled another 3-5 ft. I usually mow at approx. 3-6 mph....depending on grass conditions. This is way too slow when you need to get the deck raised quite fast for any reason. I have not been to dealer with this complaint yet, but before I do I am wondering if anyone has had this same problem.

Did it always do this from new?

If not give the dealer a call where you bought it from, they should know what if anything is wrong.

Thanks for the reply John, and yes it has been this way since new but seems to be getting worse. I put my dealer aware of this, so we'll see what happens. Only reason for this question is that sometimes dealers/companies will "try to deny there is a problem"....when there is a problem, so I'm just trying to collect "evidence of existing problem" IF it is a problem that more people than myself are experiencing. I have no reason to believe my dealer won't take care of this unless it's the nature of the beast !!

Nature of the beast. At the speed you are cutting, 3-5 feet is quite fast. Don't see a problem. You are dealing with a small engine unit, not a high end residential tractor.
