It would be a good thing to check....I’ve heard it’s common for those ecu’s to burn out. Make sure you have a good battery and is charging.

I work for a John Deere dealership. This is a common issue just as MowLife said. Quickest way to diagnose is to locate the black 'kill' wire on the right side of the engine and disconnect it. Then crank the engine. If it starts, your issue is the interlock module located under the dash.
