I have just recieved a snapper x21500 for free how ever its missing a bunch of parts from the self drive did some research apx $127 worth of parts now its a cool mower and i have been looking for a replacement for my commercial mower and was wondering if this would be it. if it was i will with all my mowers replace the on off handle with a toggle switch so it stays running while i empty grass catcher and switch the handle lever to be the self drive on off. so would it be worth the money to get it running and use it?

I would do a compression and spark test and take the carb off and see what kind of shape it's in. If the deck and engine are in good shape might be worth it. Sounds like you are just about replacing the whole drive system.

Yes the drive disc and whole drive disc assembly the "tire" and assembly are good to go and rest of the tranny is good not included in the cost i mentioned above are the new belts and throttle cables all have to be replaced the engine and deck are in great shape.

If that's one of the older decks before Briggs bought em out might be worth it. I had an old aluminum deck and it finally split after two engines. Bought a new one (Snapper). Took it back it was nowhere near the mower the older one was.

it has a b&s engine :/ but i wouldnt be opposed to putting a nicer engine on it. assuming it didnt cost much

Do u have a pic u could post? If it's what i think it is, it's definetly worth the $127 to fix up and keep. They do not make Snappers like they used to. They don't make engines like they used to either.
