Some how the charging thing under flywheel broke and some of the magnets around inside of flywheel came out. This is a 14 horse briggs. The electric starter quite working and only has pull starter. Now wont start, are those magnets for charging or do they help with firing? I thought the coil did this. Thanks Joey!

Sounds like a mess. Post your engine's and mower's model numbers, and give us a little more backround about how it was working
one day. Then was not working the next time you wanted to use it.

Well, the magnets under the flywheel are for charging only, but if the magnets were falling out and ripping out innards, you need to take down the engine and see what you have left to work with. If it no longer will even "crank" then you have a mess that you need to map out before you will mow again.....

Hate to say, but I doubt that your fix will be easy or free....

Your engine totally messed up! kindly post a picture and specification for us to have an idea. But if you are near to a dealership they might help you with it.
