Has anyone had any experience, adding a charging system, magnets and stator, to a Wisconsin Model TJD \ THD engine built in January 1966?

Is it necessary to replace the flywheel, if so by which one? From what I have muddled together flywheels with part numbers ENA 100 or ENA 101 should fit the engine.

Can magnets be added to the current flywheel, casting number NC-145-G from an internet search the Part No. is N102?

There appears to be threaded holes in the block, making a big assumption here, they may be for attaching a stator.

Is there a KIT, or part numbers for the pieces, that will make this conversion possible?

For what it is worth I am doing the research so that someone else can get their hands dirty.

Any help or direction will be greatly appreciated.

You bring back memories when I saw a posting for a TJD. Worked on them way back, but haven't seen one in 15 years. If my memory is still in tack, (don't always bet on it) you should be able to add a charging system to them. I don't have my old parts books to look up the numbers you posted, but if you try to add, I would purchase the correct flywheel and not try to add magnets to an old one. Any change in flywheel balance will cause major problems. There should be mounts for the stator on the block under the flywheel. I have attached some manuals for your engine. Can you post the rest of the engine model numbers? Also, the numbers of the engine where you are seeing a stator and magnets and wiring harness?
