i have a briggs engine on my dr power leaf vac. there is a broken wire that runs up under the fuel tank. I believe this is why I cant start the engine. I need to know where this wire goes

More than likely we will need the DR model number as well

With the engine having only recoil start it is likely going to the ignition coil from oil level sensor and the kill switch. But to find out you must pull the tank and the engine shroud. This something you must do on your end as we can't remotely do it.

The wire if the ignition coil wire might be grounding out otherwise. And the oil level sensor are known to give problems too. You test this by unplugging the lead to ignition coil from oil level module.
