Winding lawn boy recoil spring model 10301

Does anyone have installation photos of spring recoil installation? Does the spring get wound in the black housing or wound in the shiny metal cover first? I reallize this can be wound by inserting a tool into the two top holes by the two dogs. Im pretty thick headed so bare with me,please.Thanks for any help.
