Koehler k17 twin cylinder motor. not getting fuel from tank to carb. fuel pump replaced still no gas. fires with starting fluid. what may I have overlooked. thank you.

If you remove the fuel line going from the pump to the carb and turn the engine over, does fuel come out of the pump? If it does then you have a stuck float needle valve.

Thanks for your response. The fuel isn:t being pulled from the fuel tank. Ideas?

Ok. Take the fuel line from the tank off and blow real hard into the tank. Use compressed air if you have it but then not real hard. If fuel comes out the line I suspect the pump is bad. No fuel means the line is blocked.

I took pump out then re-installed. Working fine now. Thanks for all your help. Excellent forum.
