Well with they tighten on the axle you normal can not remove them. You pull the transaxle flip upside down, remove the case cover, the axle keepers, and then slide the axle and hub out. In order to replace the axle seal. This because the axle nut is torque to nearly 300 ft/lbs which cold welds the hub to the tapered shaft.

Even Tuff Torq does not sell just hub, they the hub and axle already assembled for that TZT1310 transaxle

Correction on early versions they do show the hub separately but I have never gotten one apart. I actually broke the puller I brought for a JD project several years ago.

Even the early JD service manual said to use a puller which the later manual for the same ZTR says to pull the axle.

I just watched the service video from toro. They show pulling the whole unit and opening the case . But I spoke with a service guy who had mentioned the lock key on the hub should slide off with hub . So the hub will come off . Think I have the wrong puller . Waiting to hear back from Tuff Torq . Sent a message to manufacture for tips as well . Thank you for getting back to me . I wrenched on cars for years with my father in law at his shop . Just recently took a position with a property management company as the shop guy . So I’ll be on here quite a bit. lol love the job but definitely a little different then wrenching on cars .
