hello to all I have recently brought a wheel horse b111 it was running when I brought it but needs a lot of work... my first job has been to solve the lack of spark which I have done by replacing the old points and condenser system with a newer electronic ignition coil although it is new firing well it is still not running could the timing be of?? I don't know what does the timing on these engines or will it be the carb as I adjusted it a lot before finding there was not good spark. Thanks:smile:

I would try looking at the carb before the timing. Check that the float hasn't gone bad and check the needle valve. Also check all of the jets and make sure they are clean.

Does your unit have the Onan or Kohler engine? I'm assuming the Kohler as you said you converted it to electronic ignition. Unless you opened the engine, I doubt that the timing is off. Make sure your air gap is .010. I would give the carb a good bath (ultrasonic if it is available) and install a rebuild kit. Post the model numbers of both engine and unit and I will see if I can get you manuals.

hi thanks for the replies the engine is a briggs and Stratton model 252707 I have cleaned the carb as best I can with carb cleaner (the jets etc) I have also cleaned out the fuel tank and brought a new fuel line but unfortunately I the rubber seal for the petrol; tank is so perished it has crumbled so I will have to buy a new one before trying it again.:frown:
