What's the furthest you've driven your riding mower/tractor on the street?

The furthest I have went was up the street and turned around cause I was low on gas and didn't feel like pushing. But I have seen guys riding there's up to the gas station In the street. If I try to do that I will run out of gas cause I only have a 1.25 gallon tank, and the gas station Is about a mile from me but I guess they have bigger tanks.

I haven't driven my mower down the street that's what the atv is for. I did see a teenager driving a mower about a 1/4 mile to the gas station paying for $1 of gas.

Driving on the street and your reason for doing so I think would depend on the nature of the work you are doing. I know individuals that drive 2 and 3 miles on the streets to get back to there trailers but they work for Commercial businesses mowing large sub-divisions and they have mowers equipped to do so. When they leave the trailer there topped off with gas and carry as much as 8 to 12 gallons. I also see the Residential operators driving on streets and they may be coming back from as far as 3 to 5 or more house's from there trailers. I personally have returned to may trailer from 10 to 12 house's out.
