What's available for F710

Hi All,
It's been quite a while since I've posted anything. The last time I posted it was a question regarding a snowblower for my F710 lawnmower. This time it's about that same lawnmower but concerning whether decks for it are available or whether any other decks would work. My research says they are no longer available.

The machine is still in great shape as far as engine and transmission. The Kawasaki engine still runs great and doesn't use any oil to speak of. The hydrostat stills works great. The hydraulic lift still works fine, it's just the deck that is reaching the end of it's life. One possibility if no decks are available for a reasonable price, is to make one myself just using the original for a pattern. Has anybody done this before, (well I know someone must have), and what things shouldI be especially careful about? The one thing I thought I'd make the deck out of 13 gauge (.090) steel. It seems the factory isn't made with material that thick. Would the hydraulics still be able to lift the deck?

Any other things that I should consider before even attempting this? Thanks.
