Hey guys, I picked up a Craftsman Pro series T7400 and the previous owner had re-welded the deck mounting brackets. The paint he used in no way matched the color of the deck but whatever. I bought some rust-oleum golden sunset (gloss) from ace hardware but it’s way too light yellow compared to the more orange original deck paint. I was wondering what paint would be a closer match to the original paint? It almost looks like John Deere “old construction yellow paint”. Thanks for any ideas.

Cub Cadet yellow, being that it is an MTD product. Or possibly International Harvester yellow.

Strange when I ran a search for Craftsman T7400 it comes as a 917.86450 model which is Husqvarna. But PN for yellow Husqvarna paint is NLA. Also note the that yellow has darken over the years so you won't get prefect match.
In the Cub Cadet paint the closest is the 788-0498A paint which is the YM/IH Yellow. It is only available thru a Cub Cadet dealer.

You can pick the IH yellow here. It is a fantastic paint. They also have the Rust-oleum transport yellow that looks a bit darker. Alternately, you can find most Rust-Oleum paints in HD and Napa. Napa will also exact match if you bring in a paint chip off the deck. However, it doesn't lay down nor spray as nice as the Rust-oleum.
