I'm not having a problem, but I just wanted everyone's input on what oil to use (SAE 30, 10W-30, Synthetic 5W-30, or 5W-30). I just bought a Husqvarna M-ZT61, it has the 30 HP Briggs and Stratton Endurance Commercial engine. It says to change the oil after 5 hours. I live In PA so the weather is not always warm. Any info is appreciated

I would use any oil listed by the engine maker. Ask your dealer what they use if nothing else.

I'm in CT and will go with SAE30. I figure that I'm never going to be mowing when its cold enough for the SAE30 to be a problem. I've also decided to go with conventional oil since I'll be changing it much more often than recommended.

I agree. I live in NY and use 10-30 in my residential machine. Use 30w in my commercial Kawasaki. I have asked a few dealers what they use and all said 10-30 they did say some commercial lawn guys use 30w. My Kawasaki is run up to 6 hours a day 5 days a week, hence the straight 30w.
