I was mowing the lawn with a 22" Self Propelled Brute Briggs and Stratton. and it just turned off. I put more gas, but it wouldn't turn on anymore.

I don't know much about fixing mowers, but I opened it up and removed the ignition coil because a friend I talked to told me that could be it. However, I don't want to buy a new ignition coil if that's not the problem.

Then, I saw that the pipe under it was cracked. The picture is attached. Does this crack mean anything and could it be the reason the mower doesnt turn on?

Thanks for the advice. Bought a broken 550 Briggs mower for $7. The carb tube looked exactly the same as mine. I removed it and installed it in mine. It fit fine but only one screw would go in. Turned on the mower, and it worked great. And to think I was going to junk this for $30. Thanks guys!
