Typically .......moderate fertilizing in the Spring as the grass comes out of dormancy ( 50 degrees ground temps or higher) .........very light fertilizing if any during the very hot months........heavier fertilizing in the Fall after cooler temps start. It depends on your soil, your type of grass and your location... With more info about your property you could get more definitive advice from this forum.

having a KBG sod lawn the grower told me to use a spring/fall mix in both spring and fall seasons and a summer mix in hot weather . a check with your nearby sod grower could possibly give you the best advise for your local conditions

Think E.M.I.L. Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day. I use a weed and feed product for all because I have neighbors that refuse to control their dandelions.

Depends on many things, type of grass, your location, what do you want the lawn to look like, broadleaf or other weed problem, your budget, etc. Some types of fertilizer is for spring, some for summer, some for weed control and others for fall. In fact there are even fertilizers used in the south for the months we call winter in the north. Your best bet is to contact your local extension agent or a good landscaper in your area. We would only be guessing as to what your condition and wants are.
