Tecumseh uses bentonite grease in their trannys.. just don't put it in the needle bearings because it is clay based and will damage the needle bearings.

Bentonite seems fairy hard to get hold of. I just looked on Google and couldn't find anyone in the UK who sells it. Is there another grease that can be used alternatively?
Not that I know off, Bentonite grease is kind of a specialty item, and is mostly available through Tecumseh dealers, but Peerless is now owned by Husqvarna.
