Got a small ultrasonic cleaner at Harbor Freight, thought I would use it for cleaning small 2-cycle carb parts such as used on weed eaters. The instructions caution against using solvents and oil based stuff. I was thinking Simple Green diluted with water? Any recommendations?

We have had a Harbor Frieght ultrasonic cleaner in the shop for the last four years and have found using about 5 oz. Of Simple Green to a full tank works well for us. We change the solution whenever you can no longer see the carb in the solution and it works fine when cold, but even better when hot. 90% of the time a carb gets a 480 second soaking. Hope this helps.
