Weed wacker

I know that this is a lawn mower forum. But I have a question about a weed wacker. I have a troy bily weed wacker with a pull cord that won't pull. It will pull out about 1 foot or so and then no further. I don't know if the engine is frozen or if there is something jamming it. Is there any way to fix this and if so how or if I need to take it to someone or if there is just no hope.

remove the recoil and pull your pull rope out from under the other wraps of rope till it pulls smoothly
