Weed ID Help

Can anyone please help me identify the weed in this picture. I’m certainly no lawn expert and could use some help with ID and tips for getting rid of it. My lawn is pretty nice however I do have a few patches of this in a few areas. It seems like some sort of thick blade grass. In the close up pic you can see the thick blade grass I’m referring to. In the larger pic you can see the patch in the lower center portion of the pic. Maybe I’m being anal, but if I can get rid of these I’d like to.

It definitely looks like thick bladed grass. It looks like Centipede or St. Augustine. It’s really hard to tell. My guess is St. Augustine. What type of grass do you have? Bermuda or Zoysia? Where are you located?

It shouldn’t be Centipede or St. Augustine that far north. I’ll check a little further. If it is, your winter will kill it off.
