Ok just purchased a lightly used Husqvarna YT42DXLS and would like to change over to a low lift "Standard" mower blade. All I can find with a 5 Star Hole are High Lift blades which I don't need and of course they generate a LOT of noise. Anyone know if such a critter exists?

Try checking out the 594892701 or the Stens 340-440 Sand Blade

Or the medium lift 532138971 (Stens 340-282) blades.

These are 21" Five Star blades. but they are only 2-1/4 wide when compare to the 586918102 which are 3-3/4 at the widest part which I think is the air lifts.

Thanks, I believe you are correct that the "width" is being measured at the very wide lift area. I'll check out those blades. I also ran across a site with tons of blades on Amazon - the Rotary store. A lot to chose from for all brands. The one thing missing from most all sellers is a edge profile image of the blade. (Edge on/narrow side view. I sharpen my own blades and these high lift blades have some extensive curves in them that make sharpening a lot of work even with a grinder. The image attached shows a lot of the curves in the blade but it would still be helpful to see a full side -edge on view of the blade. Notice that this one has a center section pressed upward and that means the cutting edge of the blade is actually going to be below that of a perfectly flat blade even if the flat blade had the curved trailing edge.

Yes, that's was just a sample to show how hard it is to see the actual shape of blades on sellers web sites. That green one is actually about the easiest to see and the one good thing is that the sharp edge is straight with no curves. Unlike this one where the image makes it hard to see that the cutting edge has several curves to it. If you have seen a blade like this you can sort of figure it out but otherwise this image doesn't help a person much.
