Yes, Honda had a wide-area commercial model, the HRC7013 (twin hydrostatic drive) and later HRC7113 (gear drive). They used a single-cylinder 390cc engine, were available with either a 36" or 48" mower deck, and were based on similar commercial mowers made by The Bunton Co.. Honda sold these models in the US from about 1992-2001.
The 36" version was very popular with commercial guys, as it was a very fast machine, easy to drive, and cut a LOT of grass in a very short period of time.
I have the 1998 honda hrc7113 (trugear) TXA 48" walk behind that I just got (Barn find at my dealer) i now have i think 16 hours on it. Its not suprising that this things build quality and finish blows most of the new stuff today out of the water. The cut is unbelievable. I can only image what the 18hp with 60 inch deck and hydro were like. If honda ever did zero turns, it would be the most over built machine ever to touch grass i am sure.

The HRC7120 w/60" deck was a beastie...Honda offered a tow-behind sulky for it, but by the time it got to market, the ZTR's had taken over the market for commercial riding equipment...
