I recently got a Murray 5hp, 206cc, 3 speed Briggs & Stratton engine. It has a 754a Tecumseh peerless transmission. The RER was made in 84 but the mower was sold in 85. 
It runs pretty good for now, the spark plug will be replaced and a new key was added to the rear axel. I looks really great, very little rust. I have the parts list for the mower but no user manual. left side Murray sticker is completely gone, its just a white stripe now. Small scratches around the body and frame. I need to replace the blade I believe that it is bent causing the mower to surge forward when shifting speeds. All and all I believe that I got a good deal. :thumbsup:
