My 18 HP vanguard has a vibration when I go higher than idle. It is not in the mower deck. The hydraulic oil is fine. I think I will remove the belt off main pulley above the pto clutch and see if it is still there. any thoughts.

Check engine mounting bolts.

I found out a connecting rod broke on one cylinder.New motor on the way.
