Valve lash

I am attempting to adjust valve lash on my Dixie with Generac engine. The jam nuts are almost impossible to get to and was wondering if there is a special tool or a trick to loosen them.

Thanks for reply. The tag has fallen off engine shroud. I'm sure it's a GTV760 27hp. It runs on propane.
 
Right in the center of the rocker is a bolt and in the center of that is a hex head. Hex head it the locking part.

Two of the jam nuts at the bottom are what I'm having trouble getting to. An open end wrench will get on two, but it seems there's too much in the way to get to the other ones. I'll pull mower in tomorrow and take a pic of each side and post.
