I found a 2009 Kubota ZD321 54-inch with 93 hours for $5500. It has a mulch kit as well as a powered bagger. From what I can tell this appears to be a good deal. I haven't seen the mower in person but my father can stop by and take a look for me.

Is there anything that I should be on the lookout for with a mower like this? I've read that the ZD321 had power issues with the 60-inch deck but the 54-inch deck was fine. Has there been a history of the transmission having issues?

I'm all for a good deal but I don't want to spend a chunk of money and end up sinking a bunch more money into it for repairs.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I found this:
"I was thinking of trading my ZD21 in for the new ZD321. After talking to three local dealers, I was advised to NOT purchase a 21 h.p. model - not enough horsepower for the deeper decks and much larger transmissions. Matter of fact, these dealers were advised NOT to sell their remaining stock (per Kubota) on these units until a resolve was determined."
Sounds like a big issue.

I saw messages of the same sort dated around the time the ZD321 came out (2007). I was assuming (maybe incorrectly) that since Kubota sold the ZD321 through 2011? the performance issues had been ironed out.
