Hi all,
I have a Husqvarna YTH22v46 I bought about two years ago (I was recently married and on a tight budget). I think it has like 58 hours on it. I cut my grandmothers yard and her Cub Cadet keeps messing up so she is interested in getting another mower. My aunt has a Exmark Quest E-Series 42" that was purchased in September two years ago but doesn't have much time on it. They have moved and are selling it. They are wanting $2,500 for it but I think I could get them to go down slightly. I think they spent roughly $4,000 for it new, by the time taxes and such were added.
Is the Quest a decent mower. I know it doesn't have a fab deck on it but it does have the Kawasaki motor on it. If I bought this I would sell my Husqvarna to my grandmother. I guess my thought was I could upgrade to a zero turn with fairly low hours for around $1,500 and my grandmother could save money and not have to buy a new mower as there is nothing wrong my YTH22v46. Any advice on this would be appreciated.
My yard is ~ 1 acre and I mow it about once a week. There is a slight hill in the front but it is not that steep, otherwise the yard is fairly smooth.

Exmark has got a great name in the ztr mower business. The quest e series is on the bottom end of their line, but they are good mowers for people with lawns that are pretty flat and under 2 acres. The kawasaki engine is most likely the fr series which is residential, but still a very good engine. What is the terrain that you will be mowing? Do you have slopes? Many obstacles, such as trees or fencing? The 42" quest should be able to mow your lawn a little faster than the 46" husky could.

Most of my yard is pretty flat except for alittle hill that goes into a ditch in the front. On the other side of the driveway it is steeper and I usually just get as close as I can to the ditch and weed eat the rest. I was just wondering advice on whether I just want a zero turn bad or if this deal would make sense.

If you want a ztr mower, can get it for a little over $2k, and its in great shape then you should be fine. I can tell you from experience that mowing with a ztr is about as much fun as you can have on a mower.

How much is the mower worth? I believe it was bout 2 years ago but I don't think it has a lot of time on it. My aunt didn't like it so after my uncle changed jobs and was gone she paid something to mow the yard. I think they paid close to 4k for it by the time taxes and such were added. I'm going to go look at it today. I believe it is in good shape

If she paid $4k, it's in good condition, wasn't used much, and you can get it for around $2k then that's half price for a 2 year old mower with low hours. It's worth what she can get for it and what you are willing to pay. Check online, and see what used exmark quest mowers are selling for. My main beef with exmark is that I think they are a little over priced new. You can go to a big box store and purchase a hustler raptor new for $2999 and have just as good a mower as the quest. You can get some used low end commercial mowers for $2k to $3k. My friend just purchased an 09 48" snapper pro s50x with 87 hours on it for just under $2500.

Emark Quest Tracking Adjustment

Is there any way to adjust the tracking on the Exmark Quest E Series? When I push the controls all the way forward it pulls to the right. With the controls in neutral the mower does sit still. Thanks in advance.
