We want to extend the driveway next Spring and the only things standing in the way are flowers. I don't want to lose the flowers, I want to move the bed. How hard is this going to be? Do you think now is the time to do it? Most are Spring and summer flowers.

This isn't really my area of expertise, but my gut instinct says that the off season for plants is the best season to re-plant them. It just makes sense somehow.

Well you will want to start with deciding where you are going to move them too. Make a new flour bed there and make sure the soil is nice and healthy. Then you can move everything you want to keep to the new flower bed.

Fall after they have bloomed is the best time to move them, after they have flowered they almost go dormant until the next year when they start their growth again, so if you are going to dig them up, do it now.
