Upgrade Vanguard 18 hp to a Vanguard 23 hp??

I have a Grasshopper 718 that just blew a Vanguard 18 hp motor. I was going to purchase a new Vanguard 18 hp motor but thought I might just upgrade to Vanguard 23 hp for around $150 more. Two questions: Is it worth upgrading to a bigger hp motor?? Will upgrading to a 23 hp motor hurt anything else on my mower??

I think that a 23 Vanguard is physically larger than the 18 and may not fit, check the dimensions. Go to Small Engine Warehouse website, click on repowers, find Grasshopper, find the Grasshopper 718 and read the info.

Get anywhere with this? Also looking into a larger engine for my 718
