Upgrade from John Deere LX188 to LX288

Good afternoon everyone. Interested in moving up in years form my John Deere LX188 to another used model a LX288. from my reserach it is pretty much the same machine IRT capacity and size just a little newer. For those that have moved up how much would you consider to be a fair exchange price. Both units are in fair condition. Not perfect but mechanically and consmetically sound. Nothing is wrong with my mower just looking to gain a few model years without going to the new X series that I can't afford.......... Thanks........

I did the upgrade from a LX178 which was a great machine to LX279, I sold the LX279 after a couple of years, I have hilly wet property and all I ever did is spin.

Something was different, but I did like the additional hp.

Now I am running a 2305 and a F1145 and they are great but expensive to purchase.
