You may be interested to know that there's a programme on BBC-TV tonight in which James May attempts to reassemble a classic Suffolk Colt lawnmower from its 331 component parts, with the help of its manual. From memory, this had a cast-iron cylinder, roller and a cage-type blade - I'm not sure of the correct term. Wow! - let's have more like this! It is on BBC Four at 21.00-21.30 BST, and repeated during the night from 03.00 to 03.30.. In the UK, you will be able to catch up on this later using BBC i-Player. Members living in other countries may be able to stream it in some way, maybe from the BBCTV website, but I can't guarantee that.
Alec, Thanks for the heads up . In my part of the US with satellite TV we get some feeds from BBC (news, auto, drama), but unlikely something where the average TV viewer actually gets his hands dirty...or (horror of horrors) breaks a fingernail! But I will look for it. (any form members or visitors excepted from these comments, of course :laughing
