We just recently purchased a house with 6.5 acres. Looking to get a ZTR and figured I would go with a commerical model for the extra durability. My top two choices are the John Deere Z915B or the Gravely 160. Both are 60" deck. The JD is $7,600 and the Gravely is $7,800...so not much of a price difference. Can anyone recommend which model to go with? Both look good...on paper and at the dealers.

Thanks!

Any mower you purchase in that price range will be a fine machine. Both are good mowers. I would go with the one who has the better dealer support of the two.

Welcome and I would recommend you to spend the extra few hundred and upgrade the 915B to the 920M, you will thank me later if you do.

If you are in central IN or southern IN if you want to drive a few hours I bet my dealer will beat any price you get and make it worth the drive.
