I have a Snapper and Troy-Bilt lawn mowers, both have the same Briggs engine 550EX 140 cc. I have cleaned the carbs on both of them after bad gas sat over the winter. Neither on will start. If I give it a shot of starting fluid it runs for a second, never gets gas form the carb it seems. Any ideas?

Do you have your engine model?
If i remember right they have the plastic carbs??
Yes, the carb is completely plastic. I got some numbers off the block not sure if its the engine model or not.
I pulled the carb agian just to make sure the bowl was full of fuel and it was. This really has me stumped.
So this has even got stranger. I let the mowers sit a few days cuz I was at a loss. I gave it one a last chance pulled it once and it started and runs fine. The other one still will only run for a second on starting fluid, what the heck?
