New member here! Just came into 2 Honda Mowers! A Commercial HRC216-AC HXA and an HRB215-FJ. Both run great. I understand newer models can use a twin blade set-up. Are either (or both) of these able to use the twin blades and is it worth the upgrade?

Look for your model numbers here, information on blades etc. should be in diagrams.
I believe the twin blade set up is for mulching vs. bagging using one blade.

i had a honda mower with the Twin blade set up awhile back... i really didn't notice a difference in cut quality compared to a single bladed pusher.

Welcome to the group. I have two Honda mowers, an older HRA215SX with a single blade and a new HRX217HY with twin blades. They both cut very well but I will say the new one cuts the grass clipping finer. I suspect the results are a combination of a twin blades and a newer deck design.

I don't know if the old one can accept a twin blade or not. Too much snow right now to go check.

Don't think they would fit the shaft. If I remember correctly, the upper blade has a larger hole, so the twin blade design would not fit the shaft of the single blade design.

You're probably right.
