I have a Husvarna YTH22V46 with a Tuff Torq k46 transmission that was due for a rebuild. After finishing, I was testing it on the bench top with a power driver. One of the axles spins properly in both forward and reverse. The other axle begins to spin but slowly comes to a stop after a few seconds. This happens in both forward and reverse and is repeated each time I start/stop the drill. I can't imaging what's causing this. Any ideas? Thanks.

it may be called a differential If you turn one axle by hand does the other side turn the opposite direction. if so then everything is most likely fine. You have one axle that is dragging a little bit and all the rotation is being transferred to the easier to spin axle. Your car does the same thing since it allows one wheel to spin faster than the other one when making turns.
