Hi. I am pulling my hair out trying to work out if I am doing something wrong, missing a part. or misinterpreting how the machine is supposed to work. Inside the main transmission, there are two little IDS valves. The cam plate that is supposed to press against these valves, isn't. On the other side of the cam plate, there is a block labeled "jerky plate". There is a cutout in upper and lower casings that this block fits loosely into. This plate doesn't seem to do ANYTHING, and has about a 4mm gap between the outside of the main casing and the plate. I feel that it is supposed to hold the cam plate against the valves, and is supposed to be fairly close to the machined aluminium block which is the core of the whole mechanism.
Q: Is the cam plate supposed to be held close to the main block ? Any idea HOW close ?
Q: Is the jerky plate supposed to have a spring or spacer behind it to press it against the cam plate ? There is nothing shown in the exploded diagram on the Tuff Torq website.
Thanks in advance
