hello i have a troybuilt pony 42 inch mower. accidently let the blade hit the edge of the street. blade was bent badly so i replaced the blades with brand new ones. well now the cut looks horrible, so i adjusted the deck per the owners manuel and no real difference still uneven cut. the blades do line up in the center and i have even distance side to side from the ground. tire pressure is right on. my guess is i have either bent the deck and or spindles. anyone have any thoughts before i start buying parts . thanks

Measure the tips of the blades on the left and right sides. You can make an easy checking tool out of a threaded rod coupling and bolt. The tips should be the same height on both sides. You can also check each blade individually. Do this on a flat level surface. If when checking the individual blades and they are not level you may have sprung the deck.

hey thanks for the advice . it turns out that the deck is bent at the mounting points of one spindle, was going to replace but a local mower repair shop straightened it for me, and seems to cut better than before. again thanks for your help
