My 1969 Troybilt horse axel slipped to one side and the half moon key dropped down.
How do you get the machine apart to get the half moon key out?

this should help you out. It will require using several sections of the manuals, and some thinking. Since the key came out you may have to remove the shaft and then use a blind bearing puller to remove the bronze sleeve bearings from the axle housing.
