Hello all,
I am helping a friend of mine with his Troy built and he said that just recently it has been acting up. He said that on a cold start it will run for about 30 minutes and then foul and die. If he then lets it sit and cool it starts and runs for like ten minuets, not to well, then do the same thing. What could this be? He also stated that some times when it fails, it smokes not form the exaust but just fom the entire engine compartment. What could this be? When removing the spark plug it was very black, which is normal but thought I would give as much information as I could. I have heard that sometimes a bad coil can fault when it gets hot but how can you tell?
Thanks.
