All of a sudden I'm not getting power distributed after ignition switch. New Battery and switch installed. So it's neither a battery or switch issue. Power to the switch confirmed with a meter. When key switch is off it shows full 12 plus volts but when key is turned to the on position no power to anything forward (lights, starter, carb solenoid). The Troy Bilt Super Bronco is around 7 yrs old, Has me stumped. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Are you sure you installed the correct switch? Many look the same, but if you look at the back of the switch, terminals are different. If you want more help, when you post back, be sure to include the model and serial numbers of the unit and the part number of the new switch.
First off- I want to thank you for the very quick reply. This was my first post. I wasn't sure of if or when I would get any suggestions to my problem.
I never even thought that the issue might be in an incorrect or defective replacement switch. The Troy Bilt model is 14A7A3BA011 and it looks like the original switch part is 725-06102B. I'm unsure of the part no. of the one I replaced it with. It was an Amazon purchase and looked exactly like the original on the mower. Strangely their site has all similar switches priced anywhere from 20 dollars to almost 200.
Anyway I ordered a different one arriving tomorrow and we'll see if that might work. I will post any results. What a great site and thanks again.
