Troy Bilt Rider PTO Blade Won't Engage

I have a Troy bilt Lawn tractor. It is a D609G model, and the The PTO control won't engage the blade.
Is there anyone that can give me a hint of what may be the problem?

Check your safety switches and check that the plug is fully plugged in on the rear of your PTO switch

I am not all that familiar with the Troy-Built, but they are usually by the parking brake, seat, and the drive controls
