I'm having trouble starting my 2010 Troy-bilt horse riding mower. It won't start in neutral; I have to move the speed control back and forth while continuously turning the key to start it. It has taken up to 15 minutes to start. Any help would be appreciated.
Your description seems vague. Are you saying that the engine won't crank or it cranks but won't start the speed selection lever shouldn't have any effect on starting because of no safety switches on the speed selector, other than the mow in reverse safety switch.
