Trouble finding ignition coil

I think I have a failing ignition coil. According to searspartsdirect.com
and kohlerenginesparts.com I need part 24-584-36-S. This part has two tabs. The current coil on the mower has three tabs.
Mower model: Craftsman 917276905
Engine model: Kohler SV735-007

Please let me know if you need more info.

Sounds like you have the 24 584 63-s DSAI modules which gets converted to the MDI setup with the 32 707 01-s module conversion kit.

Thanks for the reply. Where do I get this? I'm have a great talent at ordering the wrong part.

Here's what's going on with the mower.
When I mow it sounds like either one side of the engine is cutting in and out or the throttle is moving. The engine starts fine cold but shuts off when hot and will not start until cold again.

I didn't see any of those online that looked like it, but when searching for 24 584 63-s I did see 12 707 01-s that looks identical. Could this be it?

that kit is for the single cylinder CV16. Your have the 24 584 63-s which superceded to 24 584 89-s which looks like this

But that has been discontinued and for your engine calls for the 32 707 01-s kit which looks like this

Everything but the white wire going to the old module gets scrapped and the new harness with the included new modules get plugged into the old white wire in the engine wiring harness.

I ordered the 3270701s. Thanks for the detailed explanation.

The part was finally delivered today. It says it's for engine CV 740 and CV750. My engine is CV735. Will this work? Attached are a couple of images. The old module has a red wire going to the carb and a green wire going to ground. Do I scrap these as well? The old has a red and white wire that goes under the flywheel. I can't really get to it with out removing the flywheel I think, but these two wires stay right?

Initial you said you had a SV735 beside Kohler doesn't make a CV735. IF you order the conversion kit the instructions have been included but here they are again.

I followed the DSAI instructions. What does the red wire go to? It's currently not connected to anything with the new module. Step 10 refers to it. Currently mower will not do anything when the key is turned.

You must read and understand the instructions:
Wire tie any excess length wire, including the RED lead (12 volt constant), to the manifold. Make sure all wiring is away from the fan.
This means any unused wires are just tied to the intake manifold. Don't cut it as it powers the fuel solenoid on the carburetor. It means that you do not allow any bare wires to touch the manifold they must be insulated metal contact and each other. Common sense applies here.

I apologize for my ignorance. I'm not mechanically inclined at all. Thanks for your help. Yesterday I finally mowed for the first time this year without the thing randomly shutting off.
