Trim Rite 733 - Broken Adjuster (Need welding advice)

Last year I bought a well used Trim Rite 733 w/Briggs 3.5hp, but was in decent working shape for like $25. So far it has been working pretty flawlessly up until the adjuster arm broke. More specifically the mount for the arm just snapped. I get it this company is long gone by now & replacement parts are difficult to come by, but question is more about how/if/possibly/maybe can this part be welded back together? I don't know what the composition is but its magnetic so I presume its some grade of steel.

Seeking any input from people that experienced this or similar with other pwr tools

Take the parts to confident welder/metal fabricator. I know I can weld it here as it is a simple job but it still take time and experience to do it right.

Its probably just mild steel. If you can get your hands on a cheap flux core welder you can put it together. Try doing a series of tack welds if you don't have any welding experience. Clean the surfaces to bare metal and give it a go. Its gonna look like crap but will be stronger than using JB Weld. Its a $25 edger, what do you have to lose. Just remember these words. "A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't "
